Systematic investigation of the hydrothermal syntheses of Pr(III)-PDA (PDA = pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate anion) metal-organic frameworks

A series of novel two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) praseodymium coordination polymers, namely, {[Pr3(PDA)4(HPDA)(H2O)8] x 8H2O}n (2), {[Pr2(PDA)3(H2O)3] x H2O}n (3), {[Pr(PDA)(H2O)4] x ClO4}n (4), and { [Pr2(PDA)2(H2O)5SO4] x 2H2O}n (5) (PDA = pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic anion), was designed and synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. Complexes 1-3 (chainlike polymer, {[Pr(PDA)(HPDA)(H2O)2] x 4H2O}n (1) was also obtained independently by us, although it has been reported recently by Ghosh et al.) were fabricated successfully by simply tuning the Pr/PDA ratio and exhibited various and intriguing topological structures from a 1D chain to a 3D network. While the synthetic strategy of 5 was triggered and further performed only after 1 was structurally characterized. The complexes were characterized by X-ray single-crystal determination, spectroscopic, and variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility analyses. In complex 2 an unusual nanosized square motif as a building block constructed by eight Pr ions was further assembled into a highly ordered 2D grid compound. In complex 3 the decanuclear Pr metal-based structure as a repeat unit interpenetrated to form a novel 3D polymer. Complex 4 was a 3D network polymer fabricated through a hexanuclear Pr ring as a building block, and ClO4- anions as guests were trapped in the cavity. In complex 5 six Pr atoms, two SO4(2-) anions, and carboxylic oxygen bridges constructed an intriguing rectangle structure as a repeat unit in the grid to form a 2D coordination polymer in which the unique bi-bidentate coordination mode of SO4(2-) anion was observed.     

A 3-D noninterpenetrating diamondoid network of a decanuclear copper(I) complex

The solvothermal reaction of CuCl(2).2H(2)O with pyridine-4-thiol and ethanol yielded a novel photoluminescent 3-D polymeric complex with an interesting decorated diamondoid network that is constructed of decanuclear copper(I) cluster units and mu(4)-Cl ligands. The in situ generation of CuSO(4).5H(2)O implies the spontaneous occurrence of desulfurization and redox reactions in the present system.     

Detailed Structural Characterizations of SBA‐15 and MCM‐41 Mesoporous Silicas on a High‐Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope

Using high‐resolution transmission electronic micrograph (HR‐TEM) observation, one can clearly see the pore geometry of the MCM‐41 and SBA‐15 mesoporous silicas to determine that their pore shapes are hexagonal and round, respectively. With the perpendicular orientations of the nanochannels to the electron beam, parallel line images of the (100) and (110) repeating spacings were observed. In the SBA‐15 mesoporous silicas, there are byproducts of the granular silica and disordered mesostructures, attributed to the weak hydrogen interactions between Pluronic 123 blockcopolymer and the silica species. There are also many different and significant +π disclination defects in SBA‐15 and MCM‐41 surfactant‐silica composites. The SBA‐15 with a thicker silica wall is more stable under irradiation by high‐energy electron beams compared to MCM‐41, which has thinner wall thickness. Some carbon nanostructure impurities were found in some carbon films on the metal grids.     

Synthesis of imidazoles as novel emivirine and S‐DABO analogues

5‐Alkyl‐4‐benzyl‐1,3‐dihydroimidazol‐2‐ones ( 3a‐d ) and 5‐alkyl‐4‐benzyl‐1,3‐dihydroimidazole‐2‐thiones (7a‐d) were prepared via Dakin West reaction on DL‐phenylalanine with the appropriate aliphatic acid anhydrides followed by hydrolysis and reaction with potassium cyanate or potassium thiocyanate. Compounds 3a‐d were alkylated with ethoxymethyl chloride to give the alkylated imidazoles 5a‐d which were considered analogues of Emivirine with deletion of carbonyl group at the 4‐position. Alkylation of 7a‐d afforded the corresponding S‐alkylated derivatives 8a‐p which in a similar way were considered analogues of S‐DABO. However all the imidazole derivatives were devoid of activity against HIV.     

A new capillary electrophoresis end-column amperometric detection system without the need for capillary/electrode alignment

A self-aligning end-column amperometric detection system for capillary electrophoresis was constructed. In this system, the electrode and capillary were exchanged easily and the capillary/electrode alignment procedure is not required. Gold, gold/mercury amalgam, copper and carbon fiber could be used as the working electrode. The principle is in the use of two disk holders with the capillary and the electrode in the center, so that by inserting the disk holders into a groove in the working electrode port, the capillary and the electrode are automatically aligned and the distance between the capillary and the electrode is assured at 0.24 mm. The relative standard deviation obtained using five different gold/mercury amalgam microdisk electrodes for determination of cysteine was 1.5% for the migration time and 3.3% for the electrophoretic peak current. The simple and convenient system was attractive for the routine analysis by capillary electrophoresis with electrochemical detection. The system was applied to the determination of promethazine hydrochloride in human serum.     

配合物[Li(THF)_2]_2(μ—Cl)_4[(η~5—CH_3C_5H_4)Nd·THF]的合成及其晶体结构

环戊二烯基希土氯化物是一类合成希土有机配合物的重要前身。尽管在1980年前没能成功地合成含轻希土元素的这类配合物,但目前已发现,采用具有较大体积的取代环戊二烯做配体,如C_5Me_5H,C_5H_3〔Si(CH_3)_3〕_2H,C_5Me_4C_3H_7H和桥联的配体(C_5H_4)_2(CH_2)_3H_2都可得到相应的取代环戊二烯基轻希土氯化物。控制LnCl_3和CpNa的反应摩尔比也可以成功地得到这类轻希土的环戊二烯基氯化物。     

à 3E态CH3N自由基的稳定性

观察到了CH_3N自由基Ã ~3E←X~3A_2体系317-272 nm的荧光激发谱, 特别讨论了振动激发的Ã 态的稳定性. 报导了v_3~′=6态的色散荧光和荧光时间谱, 该态在240 Pa下的寿命大约是80 ns. 实验表明Ã ~3E 态CH_3N自由基是稳定的, 势能面至少距振动基态4800 cm~(-1)内是束缚的, 异构化或预离解作用并不重要.     

Folic acid analogs. III. N-(2-[2-(2,4-diarnino-6-quinazolinyl)ethyl]benzoyl)-l-glutamic acid

A trideaza analog of aminopterin, N-(4[2-(2,4-diamino-6-quinazolinyl)ethyl]benzoyl)-L-glutamic acid, was prepared by a Wittig condensation of 2,4-diaminoquinazoline-6-carboxaldehyde and [P-(N-[1,3-bis(ethoxycarbonyl)propan-1-yl]aminocarbonyl)phenylmethyl]triphenylphosphonium bromide followed by catalytic reduction and mild hydrolysis. This compound was found to have confirmed inhibitory activity against leukemia L1210 in mice.     

氟烷基化C_(60)与四（N，N-二甲基）氨基乙烯电荷转移复合物磁性的EPR研究

变温ERP研究揭示氟烷基化富勒烯C_(60)(R_f)_n与四(N,N-二甲基)氨基乙烯 (TDAE)间稳定的电荷转移络合物TDAE-C_(60)(R_f)_n的居里温度高达190K[R_f = C_3F_7，H（CF_2）_4]。而非氟烷基化络合物TDAE-C_(60)的相应值仅为16.1K。 这种铁磁性可能是络合物分子中氟烷基化富勒烯多价阴离子基在相应居里温度下具 有某种有序排列的缘故。
